NIGIRI

Nigiri is the most traditional form of sushi, consisting simply of some pressed rice with a topping of fish. Here are some varieties.

Mackerel is a very strong flavored fish, along with some salmon. A thin strip of nori can be used to help hold the ingredient in place and provides a nice visual contrast.

Some salmon nigiri topped with kewpie mayo and dried, red pepper slices.

Some tuna nigiri.
