This collection of melodies - drawn from Classical literature and folk songs of the world - is intended to provide the musical experience necessary to allow us to be successful when performing songs in keys that have greater than 2 sharps or flats.
The first 16 songs are 8 measures long. Each song is first given in a very simple key. They are then given again four times, each transposed into another key which has a key signature containing three to sevens flats or sharps. The second 16 songs are sixteen measures long each and are presented initially with three sharps or flats. They are then given two more times, once each in a key with 4 - 7 sharps or flats.
